Youth and parents in Rochester are being encouraged to participate in an inaugural forum focused on mental health and substance abuse. This event aims to foster discussions among young people and their parents or guardians regarding their experiences, concerns, and aspirations for the community's well-being. Attendees will also learn about various drugs and treatment options.

The forum is scheduled for Saturday, April 12th, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. It will take place at the School of the Arts, located at 45 Prince St, Rochester, NY 14607. Participants will be provided with lunch and the opportunity to connect with other members of the community.

Among the organizations collaborating to host the forum are RCSD, Teen Empowerment, The Center for Youth, My Brother's Keeper, In Control, Planned Parenthood, and BreatheDeep, Inc.

This effort seeks to bridge generations through open dialogues and education, offering essential resources in addressing both mental health and substance abuse issues among youth. Interested participants are encouraged to RSVP for the event.
