Rochester Animal Services is set to host a Halloween-themed dog adoption event titled "Bark or Treat" on October 27. The event will take place from 12 noon to 3:30 p.m., or until all the dogs have been adopted, at Brown Square Park, located at 251 Verona Street.
The event aims to provide an opportunity for community members to adopt dogs without paying any fees. Attendees can expect treats, vendors, and the chance to meet between 10 and 16 dogs in the Play Yard for petting, playing, and adopting.
"We are so thrilled about this event celebrating our adoptable dogs, our community’s support, and the Halloween season!" stated Staci Papadoplos, Director of Rochester Animal Services. "We’re extremely grateful for our generous sponsors and vendors who are making Bark or Treat possible, as we hope to find new homes for all of our well-deserving and lovable dogs."
Those planning to adopt should bring a leash or collar to safely transport their new pet home. Additional information about pet adoption from Rochester Animal Services can be found on their website.
