Mayor Malik D. Evans initiated the City of Rochester’s 2025-26 fiscal year budget planning process today, highlighting opportunities for public input through an online survey, a telephone town hall meeting, and pop-up tables at various community events this fall.

The Mayor and the Office of Management & Budget are providing these opportunities early in the budget preparation process to ensure that public input effectively informs budget decisions.

“The Community’s input is essential when considering how we allocate City funds,” said Mayor Evans. “Receiving community input at the beginning of the budget development process allows us to hear from our stakeholders sooner and places their concerns at the forefront of our decision-making.
