Motorist Advisory - Rochester Lilac Festival Parade to Affect Traffic this Saturday

The 2023 Rochester Lilac Festival Parade will affect traffic on Saturday, May 13. Participants will begin staging at 8 a.m. along Science Parkway and the side streets off South Avenue between Science Parkway and Elmwood Avenue. Traffic along South Avenue will be affected at this time. Roads between Elmwood Avenue and E. Henrietta Road including Booth Street, Warren Street, Rosemont Street, and Fort Terrace will be closed to traffic at 9:15 a.m. All affected streets will re-open as soon as the final participant moves along the parade route.

The parade will step off at 10:30 a.m. at the intersection of South Avenue and Science Parkway. The parade will proceed northbound on South Avenue to Highland Avenue; then proceed eastbound on Highland Avenue to S. Goodman Street for disbandment. No street parking is allowed along the parade route.

The parade is sponsored by Lilac Festival Inc., a non-profit corporation consisting of the City of Rochester, Monroe County, and Visit Rochester. The Lilac Festival is produced by the Springut Group, Inc. For information, visit www.lilacfestival.com.
