The University of Rochester Medical Center's (URMC) Department of Urology has expanded its pediatric urology practice, the largest in Upstate New York. Founded under the leadership of Ronald Rabinowitz, MD, FAAP, FACS, the practice continues to grow with a focus on comprehensive care for children.

Joining Rabinowitz are Jimena Cubillos, MD, an expert in minimally invasive pediatric urology techniques, and David A. Diamond, MD, who contributes through clinical care and research. The team is dedicated to treating conditions such as neurogenic bladder and vesicoureteral reflux.

In September 2024, Victor Kucherov, MD joined the team. He was drawn to URMC due to his experience studying under William Hulbert, MD. "As a medical student, Bill Hulbert was an inspiration to me and my career," Kucherov said. "I saw how the providers here treat each patient as if they are the whole practice’s patient."

Rabinowicz praised Kucherov: "Dr. Kucherov's expertise, kindness, and teamwork make him an exceptional fit for our Division." This addition supports URMC's strategy to provide accessible pediatric care across Upstate New York.
