Rochester announces closures for Christmas holiday

Rochester city offices will be closed on Wednesday, December 25, in observance of the Christmas holiday. This closure affects City Hall, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers, Rochester Animal Services, the 311 Call Center, Rochester Public Libraries, and the Honorable Loretta C. Scott Center for Human Services administrative office building at 57 St. Paul Street.

Refuse and recycling collection will not occur on December 25. Consequently, pickup services will be delayed by one day for the rest of the week.

Rochester Public Libraries will close from Tuesday, December 24 through Wednesday, December 25. They are set to reopen with normal hours on Thursday, December 26.

The Public Market is scheduled to operate during regular hours on Tuesday, December 24 but will be closed on Wednesday, December 25 as per its usual schedule.

Additionally, ROC City Compost drop-off sites located at Cobbs Hill and Genesee Valley Park will also be closed on Wednesday, December 25.
