The City of Rochester will host a Women's Self-Defense Training Class on Saturday, December 14, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Adams Street R-Center, located at 85 Adams Street.

This event aims to provide women with essential self-defense skills using techniques from American Goshin Jujutsu.

Dr. Kamae McNeill, a martial arts instructor with over 50 years of experience, will lead the class. Participants will learn about limb manipulation and pressure point application, which are designed to be practical for individuals of all sizes and strengths in confrontational scenarios.

Dr. McNeill is a Shihan Kudan (10th-degree black belt) and grandmaster who has dedicated his career to teaching martial arts. His expertise has been beneficial to Rochester law enforcement, correctional officers, and community security teams. He has also won multiple world martial arts championships.
