Rochester city offices and services will experience closures in observance of the Thanksgiving holiday. City Hall, Neighborhood Service Centers, R-Centers, Rochester Animal Services, the Rochester Public Market, and the administrative office building at 57 St. Paul St. will be closed on Thursday, November 28 and Friday, November 29.

The R-Centers will not operate from Thursday through Saturday of that week. The Rochester Public Library branches will be closed on Thursday but will reopen on Friday for normal hours.

Refuse and recycling collection services are scheduled to pause on Thanksgiving Day, resulting in a one-day delay for the rest of the week. Rochester Animal Services will also close its doors to the public on both Thursday and Friday.

The 311 Call Center is set to close on Thanksgiving Day but will resume operations on Friday from 7 a.m. to 9 p.m.

Thanksgiving shopping can be done at the Rochester Public Market located at 280 N. Union St., which will open on Tuesday and Wednesday before Thanksgiving from 6 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will remain closed on Thanksgiving Day itself but return to its regular schedule by Saturday.

In addition, the Adams Street R-Center plans to host its annual holiday Skate and Swim party for families between 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Tuesday, November 26.
