The City of Rochester Public Market and the Friends of the Rochester Public Market are celebrating Black Business Month by hosting a Black Business Expo from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Saturday, Aug. 24 at the Market, located at 280 N. Union St. BIPOC-owned (Black, Indigenous, and People of Color) businesses are invited to highlight their products and services and sign up to participate as vendors.
The Black Business Expo presents an opportunity for both new and established business owners to gain exposure, network with other business leaders, and engage with the community at the City of Rochester Public Market. A portion of the market will be reserved for the Expo; there will be signage directing customers to the event. The fee to participate as a vendor is $30, which helps support programs organized by the Friends of the Rochester Public Market.
The City of Rochester Public Market is known for fostering entrepreneurship and community engagement, offering a diverse range of fresh produce, artisanal goods, and cultural experiences. Open year-round on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, the Market attracts more than 2.5 million visitors annually.
