2024 party in the park concert series begins this Thursday

The annual Party in the Park concert series returns to Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Park at 6:45 p.m. this Thursday, July 11, with two Grammy-nominated co-headliners, The Record Company and The North Mississippi Allstars.

New this year are Party in the Park Pre-Parties, facilitated through partnerships with local businesses offering live music and drink specials at nearby venues on East Avenue and Marshall Street.

Party in the Park continues every Thursday through August 15. Gates open at 6 p.m., and after July 11, all performances begin at 7 p.m. at 353 Court St.

This year’s full Party in the Park concert series lineup includes:

- July 11: The Record Company; North Mississippi Allstars (NOTE early start time at 6:45 p.m.)

- July 18: The Seven Wonders; Zac Brown Tribute Band

- July 25: The Original Wailers featuring Al Anderson; Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime

- August 1: Start Making Sense: A Tribute to Talking Heads; Into the Now: A Tribute to Grateful Dead

- August 8: Cruel Summer: A LIVE Taylor Swift Band Experience; Dial Up

- August 15: Everclear; Shamarr Allen

General admission tickets for Party in the Park are $7 (children 12 and under are free). VIP Ultra Lounge tickets, which include admission, are $32 (while supplies last) but must be purchased in advance. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased online at RochesterEvents.com or in person at the Auditorium Theater, 885 E. Main St.

Returning features include the VIP Ultra Lounge, Craft Beer Garden, Bubbly Bar, and Bazaar in the Park. The VIP Ultra Lounge provides exclusive access to a VIP area with private restrooms, a full cash bar, table service, front stage access, chair massage, and a commemorative lanyard.

Craft beer enthusiasts can enjoy the Beer Garden featuring a rotating showcase of New York State’s best IPAs, ciders, stouts, and more. The Bubbly Bar will also return with prosecco and mimosas. Happy hour specials will be available at each show from 6–7:30 p.m.

Bazaar in the Park is a weekly collective of emerging designers, vintage collectors, and artisanal products aimed at fostering a community around art, crafts, fashion, and discovery. New vendors will arrive every other week.

Patrons may bring one sealed bottle of water into Party in the Park concerts. Lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, inline skates, and pets are prohibited.

Parking is available at nearby parking garages including Washington Square Garage (111 Woodbury Blvd.), Court Street Garage (194 Court St.), East End Garage (475 E. Main St.), and The Strong Museum (1 Manhattan Square).

5–7 p.m., Monday & Thursday.

Thursdays: Get ready for the show while enjoying beer,

cocktail specials,

food,

music,

yard games,

and weekly themed activities.

Municipal parking is available on the far end of Marshall Street.
