Tuesday, March 19, 2024 - City of Rochester R-Centers have announced adjustments in their operating hours to cater to students affected by the recent Rochester City School District closure due to the Highland Park Reservoir Boil-Water Notice impacting parts of Rochester.
According to the announcement, all City R-Centers will be open from noon to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, with the exception of two locations. The Trenton and Pamela Jackson R-Center, located at 485 N. Clinton, will open earlier, from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. The David F. Gantt R-Center, situated at 700 North St., will open from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.
During these adjusted hours, children visiting the R-Centers will receive a snack and dinner to ensure their well-being while adhering to the Boil Water Notice regulations. The centers have taken precautionary measures such as covering water fountains and providing bottled water to attendees.
