The Pont de Rennes pedestrian bridge over the Genesee River Gorge (from Browns Race to Cataract Street) will be closed starting Wednesday, July 5, 2023, until the end of 2024 to undergo structural repairs. In addition to the repairs, a dynamic public space will be created with creative lighting, public art, plantings, and trail connections. A pedestrian detour will be posted and maintained throughout the project. This work is in conjunction with the Pont de Rennes Bridge and Browns Race Rehabilitation Project.
