Irondequoit Town issued the following announcement on Dec 28.
TOWN OF IRONDEQUOIT TO RESTRICT IN-PERSON PAYMENT OF PROPERTY TAXES IN JANUARY
The Town of Irondequoit today announced updated policies for the payment of Town and County property taxes in the New Year. In order to maintain safe social distancing practices during the ongoing COVID-19 crisis, the Town will be restricting in-person payment of Town and County taxes during the collection period which begins Monday, January 4th, 2021. There will be an exception for cash payments, which will still be permitted to be made in person.
Unless payment will be made in cash, the Town will not be allowing in-person payment of Town and County property taxes. Residents can pay their property taxes:
- Via mail, by sending a check to Town of Irondequoit Receiver of Taxes, 1280 Titus Avenue, Rochester, NY 14617
- Via the Town’s secure drop-box located by the parking lot entrance of Irondequoit Town Hall (located on the wall to the right of the entry way)
- Online at www.monroecounty.gov. Residents are advised that Monroe County will NOT be waiving the online processing fee, as they did in 2020. The fee will be: $2.75 for payments up to $100.00 and 2.75% for payments above $100.00.
