IRONDEQUOIT TOWN: School Tax Payments

Tax

Irondequoit Town recently issued the following announcement.

TOWN OF IRONDEQUOIT TO RESTRICT IN-PERSON PAYMENT OF SCHOOL TAXES IN SEPTEMBER

The Town of Irondequoit today announced new policies for the payment of school property taxes. In order to maintain safe social distancing practices during the COVID-19 crisis, the Town will be restricting in-person payment of school taxes during the collection period which begins Tuesday, September 1st. There will be an exception for cash payments, which will still be permitted to be made, in person.

Unless payment will be made in cash, the Town will not be allowing in-person payment of school property taxes. Residents can pay their school property taxes:

  • Via mail, by sending a check to Town of Irondequoit Receiver of Taxes, 1280 Titus Avenue, Rochester, NY 14617
  • Via the Town’s secure drop-box located by the parking lot entrance of Irondequoit Town Hall (located on the wall to the right of the entry way)
  • Online at www.monroecounty.gov. Residents are advised that Monroe County will be waiving the 3% online processing fee.
The Town of Irondequoit thanks its residents for helping to limit person-to-person contact during what is one of the busiest times of the year at Town Hall, and reminds residents to not place cash payments in envelopes being mailed to Town Hall.
