TOWN OF PENFIELD: How to responsibly enjoy Penfield’s parks, trails, and open spaces

Park 06

Let's keep access to these resources safe and available for all!

As we commit to physical distancing guidelines during the COVID-19 outbreak, we can continue to use parks, trails, and open spaces in a safe manner that brings mental and physical health benefits to our community.

In these shared settings, the Town of Penfield expects you to follow local, state and national ordinances and guidelines. If you are exhibiting any symptoms of illness please leave and contact your healthcare provider.

While you enjoy Penfield’s open spaces please:

  • Follow CDC guidance on personal hygiene prior to and during use of parks and trails
  • Maintain a physical distance of 6 feet from others
  • Create space between yourself and anyone you are walking with or meet along the way
  • Share trails and yield to other walkers to create space
  • If this is not possible, find an alternate location or leave and come back another time
  • Prepare for no access to public restrooms or water fountains
  • Do not cluster or hang out in any type of group
  • Do not use playground equipment,  basketball courts, or any areas with frequently touched surfaces
  • Keep dogs on leads, clean up after them, dispose of pet waste or take it with you
Every visitor is expected to follow safe practices so we may continue to enjoy our shared open spaces.
