An artist reception will take place at 5:30 p.m. today, Friday, July 12, at the City Hall Link Gallery, 30 Church St. “The Art of Studio 8” exhibit showcases the diverse talents and rich artistic expressions of local creators at the Studio 8 Art Partnership and can be viewed through Wednesday, July 31.

Studio 8 Art Partnership is a collaboration of Dennis Adams, Lisa Cook, and John C. Mariner. The trio are committed to fostering Rochester’s vibrant arts community, with their work spanning a variety of mediums and styles that blend traditional techniques with contemporary themes.

Dennis Adams utilizes Apple computers and iPads to create digital paintings that merge his painterly roots with modern technology. His works have been featured in numerous exhibitions, blending abstraction with vivid digital expression.

Lisa Cook, a member of Camera Rochester and several art groups, explores the interplay of light and shadow in her composite and landscape photography. Her work invites viewers to contemplate the dynamic transformations of nature and human perception.

Dennis J. Brewer, a native Californian turned Rochester artist, reflects his background in graphic design and his passion for historical figures in his work. His recent pieces delve into the lives of individuals from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, bringing their stories to vivid life.
