Concert series continues with tribute bands performing Thursday

The Seven Wonders and the Zac Brown Tribute Band are set to perform on Thursday at Dr. Martin Luther King Park as part of the annual Party in the Park concert series. The event will begin at 7 p.m. on July 18.

This year, Party in the Park has introduced Pre-Parties, thanks to partnerships with local businesses offering live music and drink specials at venues on East Avenue and Marshall Street.

The concert series will continue every Thursday through August 15, with gates opening at 6 p.m. and performances starting at 7 p.m. at 353 Court St.

The remaining lineup for this year includes:

- July 18: The Seven Wonders; Zac Brown Tribute Band

- July 25: The Original Wailers ft. Al Anderson; Badfish: A Tribute to Sublime

- August 1: Start Making Sense: A Tribute to Talking Heads; Into the Now: A Tribute to Grateful Dead

- August 8: Cruel Summer: A LIVE Taylor Swift Band Experience; Dial Up

- August 15: Everclear; Shamarr Allen

General admission tickets are priced at $7, with free entry for children aged 12 and under. VIP Ultra Lounge tickets, which include admission, cost $32 and must be purchased in advance. Tickets are available online at RochesterEvents.com or in person at the Auditorium Theater, located at 885 E. Main St.

Returning features of Party in the Park include the VIP Ultra Lounge, Craft Beer Garden, Bubbly Bar, and Bazaar in the Park. The VIP Ultra Lounge offers exclusive access to a private area with amenities such as private restrooms, a full cash bar, table service, front stage access, chair massage services, and a commemorative lanyard.

Craft beer enthusiasts can visit the Beer Garden featuring a rotating selection of New York State’s IPAs, ciders, stouts, and more. The Bubbly Bar will offer prosecco and mimosas with happy hour specials from 6–7:30 p.m.

Bazaar in the Park is a weekly collective showcasing emerging designers, vintage collectors, and artisanal products. New vendors arrive every other week.

Attendees may bring one sealed bottle of water into the concerts. Lawn chairs, bicycles, skateboards, in-line skates, and pets are prohibited.

Parking is available at nearby garages including Washington Square Garage (111 Woodbury Blvd.), Court Street Garage (194 Court St.), East End Garage (475 E. Main St.), and The Strong Museum (1 Manhattan Square).

Party in the Park Pre-Parties:

- East Ave., between Union and Alexander: Live music and drink specials from 4–6 p.m.

- Strangebird Brewery (62 Marshall St.): Happy Hour on Mondays from 5–7 p.m., with chances to win VIP tickets for that week's show; themed activities on Thursdays before each show.

Party in the Park is organized by Rochester Events | Springut Group Inc., sponsored by Labatt USA, Genesee Beer, United Business Systems, Wilkins RV, Tiny Fish Printing, Brandmint, Pepsi and Go Minis. Media partners include iHeart Radio and WHEC Channel 10.
