There were nine primary metal manufacturing businesses in New York that had between 250 and 499 employees in 2016, according to County Business Patterns (CBP) statistics provided by the United States Census Bureau.

CBP data indicates that there are more establishments categorized as health care and social assistance businesses with between 250 and 499 employees in New York than in any other category.
