The City of Rochester Public Market will open its Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas series on Sunday, April 13, from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event will take place at 280 N. Union St. Attendees, including bargain shoppers, collectors, and vintage enthusiasts, can explore a wide range of goods. Items available will include new and used clothing, tools, toys, home décor, sporting goods, vintage collectibles, artwork, and antiques.

The vendors participating in the Community Garage Sale include individuals, families, community organizations fundraising for projects, and small businesses. Dining and shopping establishments in the Market District will remain open during the events.

The Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas will be held on Sundays throughout the spring, summer, and fall. Scheduled dates include April 13 and 27, June 8 and 22, July 6 and 20, August 3, 17, and 31, September 14 and 28, and October 12. The events will occur rain or shine, and admission is free. Most of the sale items will be displayed under cover in outdoor market sheds. There will be no events in May, as that month is reserved for the Flower City Days horticultural sales.

Vendor spaces for the Community Garage Sale are priced at $35 per day for each 10’ x 30’ stall, which includes a parking space. A package for six Sundays is available at a discounted rate of $160.

For those interested in vending, the application is available at www.cityofrochester.gov/garagesales or at the Market Office at 280 N. Union St. during office hours.

“This first Community Garage Sale kicks off the 2025 slate of more over three dozen free-admission events at the Market across all seasons of the year.”
