The City of Rochester has launched a program titled “Your Ultimate Sports Experience,” offering diverse sports and activities for residents of all ages and skill levels. This initiative, which began on December 1, 2024, will continue through February 28, 2025. The program aims to encourage community engagement, physical activity, and skill development.

The activities are hosted at the Thomas P. Ryan R-Center, located at 530 Webster Ave., Rochester, NY. Participants can choose from a range of activities including soccer basics, pickleball, skateboarding, volleyball, basketball for different age groups, girls basketball sessions, and soul line dance and fitness classes.

Each activity is scheduled on specific days to accommodate various age groups and schedules:

– Soccer Basics: Mondays from 6:30 to 7 p.m. for ages 6–13.
– Pickleball: Tuesdays from 6 to 7:30 p.m., running November 12 through December 17; Open Pickleball on Saturdays from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m., running November 23 through February 22.
– Skateboarding: Wednesdays from 5 to 7 p.m. for ages 6–18.
– Girls Basketball: Thursdays from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. for ages 9–15.
– Open Volleyball: Fridays from 5 to 7 p.m., available for all ages.
– Open Basketball is held Monday through Friday from 7:30 to 8:30 p.m., and Saturdays from 3:30 to 4:30 p.m.
– Soul Line Dance & Fitness classes are available Saturdays from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. for those aged twelve and older.
