The International Plaza Market will host Latin American Day celebrations this Sunday, featuring food, live music from Franco “El Matatan,” a talent show, and activities. The event will run from 12 to 5 p.m. at 828 N. Clinton Ave on September 29, 2024. This celebration is part of the City’s Hispanic Heritage Month and is sponsored by Bank of America.

“We are incredibly grateful to Bank of America for their continued support of community events that highlight cultural diversity and foster inclusivity,” said Jason Barber, International Plaza Site Manager, Ibero-American Development Corporation. “Their partnership allows us to offer a dynamic and enriching experience for the entire community.”

“Connection and shared cultural experiences help strengthen our community,” said Colleen Matteson, President of Bank of America Rochester. “We are committed to investing in our communities here in Rochester and look forward to supporting the Latin American celebrations at the International Plaza.”

The International Plaza is managed in collaboration with the City of Rochester and the Ibero American Development Corporation. It features a variety of food, merchandise, and entertainment highlighting global cuisine, culture, and heritage. Community-based organizations also provide information on services available to residents.

In addition to Market Sundays, the plaza is open for lunch from 1 to 3 p.m., Wednesdays through Saturdays until October 13. Free parking is available on-site.
