The City’s International Plaza opens for its third full season this Sunday, May 7 with festivities celebrating Cinco de Mayo with a cultural celebration of Mexican heritage, new vendors and special performances by Alma de Mexico. Musical entertainment will also be provided La Marimba, Grupo Alteños del Norte, Byron Noble, and Ellas.

International Plaza is located at 828 N. Clinton Ave., and will be open every Sunday from 1 to 5 p.m. through October 15.

The international-themed market offers a Latin flair with Market days full of entertainment, family-oriented, cultural activities, and vendor opportunities for entrepreneurs and established businesses. Vendors and performers showcase a global assortment of cuisine, culture, and heritage. The International Plaza is a gathering space to celebrate the arts and cultural assets of the El Camino Neighborhood. It also serves as an incubator for neighborhood economic development in the El Camino community.

Vendors interested in participating are welcome to apply for a kiosk, pop-up tent or carts. Spaces begin at $20 per week with discounts available for multiple days and full season rates. Container opportunities are still available. In addition, vendors are eligible to receive business assistance through the Ibero-American Development Corporation by calling (585) 256-8900 ext.125 or visiting www.iberobusinesscenter.org.

For more information and to obtain a vendor application, visit www.cityofrochester.gov/internationalplaza or call Lisandra Mandez, the International Plaza Manager, (585) 451-5676.

The International Plaza is a community development project managed in partnership with the Ibero-American Development Corporation and the City of Rochester.
