Genesee County, NY – Friendly Visits for Seniors in Genesee County Are Available!

0Comments

Friendly visits for seniors in Genesee County are available! Both home visits and friendly phone calls made by volunteers.

With the holiday season upon us it is important to think of the seniors in our community. The Genesee County Office for the Aging through the Ask Marshall Program helps coordinate friendly visits and phone calls to home-bound seniors in our area.

Volunteers and their friends can enjoy conversations, do puzzles or crafts, play music, or have a friendly card game. People are the heart of the program, and volunteers are interviewed, referenced and background checked. They are trained prior to assignment and assigned to a senior who matches up with their personality and interests. A rich sense of fulfillment is found in the connections and friendships that develop.
