A family-oriented concert titled “We Write Classical Music” will take place later this month, featuring compositions for children by young Rochester composers Alyssa Rodriguez and Kevin Leysath II. The event is free to attend and aims to engage audiences with a blend of music and visual art.

Attendees will receive an illustrated booklet detailing the music, with accompanying illustrations projected during the performance. The concert program lasts approximately 50 minutes and includes additional works by Black and Latina composers.

The performances are scheduled for Saturday, January 25 at 2 pm at the Central Library’s Kate Gleason Auditorium, and Sunday, January 26 at 2 pm at Edgerton R-Center’s Stardust Ballroom.
