The Administration of Mayor Malik D. Evans announced the commencement of the Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas event at the City of Rochester Public Market. The event is set to kick off its 2024 season this Sunday, April 14, and will continue on 12 more Sundays throughout the spring, summer, and fall. According to the announcement, treasure hunters will have the opportunity to explore a wide variety of items from numerous vendors, including new and used clothing, tools, home décor, sporting goods, vintage collectibles, artwork, and much more.

Vendors interested in participating are encouraged to apply for a vending space, with a cost of $35 per day for a 10-foot x 30-foot stall, including a parking space. The event organizers welcome vendors selling diverse items, both new and used, and highlight the fundraising opportunities available for non-profit or community organizations. The event will run on multiple dates throughout the year, including April 28; June 2, 16, and 30; July 14 and 28; August 11 and 25; September 8 and 22; and October 13. The Community Garage Sales and Super Fleas event will be held rain or shine, with most items for sale being under cover in the outdoor market sheds. Admission to the event is free for all attendees.
